Job Title:
Technical Training Instructor II
Job Location:
Tualatin, OR (On-site)
Pay Rate: $34 - $38.57/ hour on W2 only
Job Type: Contract – (24 months)
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
The Technical Instructor II is responsible for delivering high-quality, hands‑on training programs for manufacturing employees. This role supports new hire onboarding and ongoing skill development through classroom and manufacturing floor instruction, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead on-site manufacturing academy and site-specific training programs for new and existing employees.
- Facilitate hands‑on demonstrations and training sessions in both classroom and manufacturing floor settings.
- Act as a secondary or support instructor to improve learner engagement and reduce student‑to‑instructor ratios.
- Assist with setting up, maintaining, and breaking down training spaces to ensure classroom readiness.
- Coordinate with training team members to maintain consistent course quality and effective knowledge transfer.
- Support EH&S‑related training by staying current with safety and environmental policies.
- Track training assignments and record completions in the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Review training materials and recommend improvements based on learner and stakeholder feedback.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment aligned with organizational values.
- Experience working in manufacturing environments (semiconductor experience preferred; wet/dry deposition knowledge is a plus).
- Proficiency with manufacturing systems such as SAP and other production tools.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Windows‑based systems.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS), such as Cornerstone.
- Strong instructional delivery and facilitation skills.
- Effective classroom management and organization.
- Ability to engage learners and build trust and confidence.
- Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills for working with diverse stakeholders.
- Collaborative team‑oriented mindset.
- Ability to respond quickly to changing priorities and urgent requests.
- Flexibility to adjust plans based on operational needs.
- Self‑motivated and capable of working independently, including during evening hours when required.
- Consistent delivery of high-quality work.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Dependable performance with minimal supervision.
