Technical Training Instructor II

Job Location:
Tualatin, OR (On-site)

Pay Rate: $34 - $38.57/ hour on W2 only

Job Type: Contract – (24 months)

Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Overview

The Technical Instructor II is responsible for delivering high-quality, hands‑on training programs for manufacturing employees. This role supports new hire onboarding and ongoing skill development through classroom and manufacturing floor instruction, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead on-site manufacturing academy and site-specific training programs for new and existing employees.
  • Facilitate hands‑on demonstrations and training sessions in both classroom and manufacturing floor settings.
  • Act as a secondary or support instructor to improve learner engagement and reduce student‑to‑instructor ratios.
  • Assist with setting up, maintaining, and breaking down training spaces to ensure classroom readiness.
  • Coordinate with training team members to maintain consistent course quality and effective knowledge transfer.
  • Support EH&S‑related training by staying current with safety and environmental policies.
  • Track training assignments and record completions in the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Review training materials and recommend improvements based on learner and stakeholder feedback.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment aligned with organizational values.
Core Technical Skills
  • Experience working in manufacturing environments (semiconductor experience preferred; wet/dry deposition knowledge is a plus).
  • Proficiency with manufacturing systems such as SAP and other production tools.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Windows‑based systems.
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS), such as Cornerstone.
Training & Facilitation Skills
  • Strong instructional delivery and facilitation skills.
  • Effective classroom management and organization.
  • Ability to engage learners and build trust and confidence.
Communication & Interpersonal Skills
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for working with diverse stakeholders.
  • Collaborative team‑oriented mindset.
Adaptability & Problem‑Solving
  • Ability to respond quickly to changing priorities and urgent requests.
  • Flexibility to adjust plans based on operational needs.
  • Self‑motivated and capable of working independently, including during evening hours when required.
