Position Summary
The Controls/Process Engineer designs, develops and maintains manufacturing automation and control systems used in slurry manufacturing and chemical delivery systems. Interacts with engineering and production personnel to identify and analyze continuous improvement through system modifications and upgrades. Leads or manages projects and implements upgrades for control system changes using a change control procedure process. Programs and maintains Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Human Machine Interface (HMI) for automated systems in a manufacturing environment.
Provides sustaining and troubleshooting support for existing control systems. A successful candidate would have an engineering degree with added experience and skills with controls.
- Design control schemes for slurry manufacturing and chemical delivery systems.
- Manage, lead, or assist with engineering projects.
- Data analysis and familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- Program and maintain PLCs and HMI for automated systems in a manufacturing environment. Must have some programming experience.
- Provide sustaining and troubleshooting support of existing control systems for Engineering, Maintenance and Facilities.

- Education

Bachelors Degree, Engineering required. Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering is a big plus. - Experience
: 3 years of work experience preferred. - Computer Skills

Experience with VB scripting, SQL, computer networking and/or software management preferred. - Certifications & Licenses

Previous experience with PLC Controls, Proficy Historian, Kepware, JMP, CAD and/or Ladder Logic preferred.
Frequent: Stand, walk, bend, sit, manually manipulate, reach outward, grasp, speak. Frequently lift/carry up to 20 pounds and push/pull up to 40 pounds.
Occasional: Reach above shoulders, climb, squat or kneel. Occasionally lift/carry up to 50 pounds.

Works primarily in an office and manufacturing environment with exposure to electricity, equipment and potentially hazardous chemicals.
