Product Engineer 5

This is a Staff Product Engineering position within the RF Power Group, focusing on innovation and problem-solving in RF Power Systems manufacturing, testing, quality, and supplier assessment. The role offers an opportunity to contribute to the product engineering processes used in developing and manufacturing Wafer Fabrication Equipment (WFE) for leading global chip makers. You will support systems that enable atomic-layer precision in plasma etching, deposition, and wafer cleaning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply expertise in semiconductor manufacturing and equipment to address technical and quality problems throughout the product life cycle, particularly during new product introduction.
  • Utilize experience with industrial Quality Systems, Engineering Design, Product Qualification, and Change (EC) Processes to resolve issues in product and component life cycles.
  • Manage programs, projects, and suppliers with an emphasis on problem-solving, analysis, and improvements in manufacturing and test processes.
  • Define, review, and enhance Supplier Root Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA), Quality Systems, and Processes of Record (POR).

Required Qualifications

Education:

A Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or PhD from a professional engineering program in Electrical or RF Power Engineering is required.

Experience:

A minimum of 10 years of experience in the following areas:

  • Semiconductor equipment system and component level problem-solving.
  • Multi-kilowatt High Power RF Environments from 1 to 60 MHz.
  • Electro-mechanical assembly, including methods of part fabrication, assembly, test, and quality assurance.
  • Practical lab and experimental experience is required.
  • Structured problem-solving within Cross-Functional Teams (CFT).

Technical

Skills:

  • Understanding of Transmission Line theory, impedance matching, RF measurements, and calibration techniques.
  • Familiarity with electrical measurement equipment such as DMM, LCR Meters, Network Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, and Spectrum Analyzers.
  • Working knowledge of quality and analysis methods including SPC, Cpk, DOE, GR&R (MSA), 5-Why, 8D, and Ishikawa diagrams.
  • Knowledge of electrical and manufacturing standards (e.g., Semi S2, ISO
    9000, RoHS, UL, IEEE, IPC 610/620).
  • Strong communication skills for presenting to team members and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Printed Circuit Board (PCB) assembly, inspection, and testing.

A specific rate will be determined based on the selected candidate's experience and qualifications.
