Mechanical Engineer

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PT, 40 hours per week

The Mechanical Engineer 3 will support the WETS Product Group within our Global Products Group (GPG), focused on developing wet processing equipment for advanced semiconductor manufacturing. This role will contribute to New Product Introduction (NPI) programs by designing and developing mechanical components, assemblies, and subsystems while collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver products that meet performance, reliability, manufacturability, cost, and schedule objectives.

• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and subsystems for semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
• Translate subsystem requirements into detailed mechanical designs, layouts, and engineering drawings.
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models, detailed drawings, and engineering documentation using company standards.
• Perform engineering analyses including tolerance studies, thermal-mechanical evaluations, and structural assessments.
• Collaborate with Systems, Process, Electrical, Controls, Software, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams.
• Support NPI phase-gate activities including Pre-DR, DDR, CDR, and FDR milestones.
• Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, DFMEA activities, and corrective action initiatives.
• Ensure designs are manufacturable, serviceable, reliable, and cost-effective.
• Support prototype builds, system integration, debugging, testing, and validation efforts.
• Assist with sustaining engineering activities and field issue resolution.

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of professional mechanical engineering experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency with Siemens NX and/or Creo.
• Experience creating engineering drawings and mechanical documentation.
• Experience with FEA and CFD modeling.
• Strong mechanical design fundamentals, including materials and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to interpret system requirements, drawings, and interface documentation.
• Hands-on mechanical experience using diagnostic equipment and tools such as:
• Digital Volt Meters (DVM)
• Calipers
• Standard hand tools
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced NPI environment.

• Semiconductor industry experience.
• Experience with fluidic design.
• Experience using CAD tools including NX and Inventor.
• MATLAB and Simulink experience.
• Knowledge of DFx principles including manufacturability, reliability, serviceability, and safety.
• Experience managing multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
• Familiarity with New Product Development (NPD) processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or related engineering discipline
