About the OpportunityWe are seeking a Staff Product Engineer within the RF Power domain to play a pivotal role in the development, qualification, and lifecycle management of high-performance RF power systems used in wafer fabrication equipment. This is a highly visible engineering role with broad influence across product engineering, supplier quality, and manufacturing excellence.
You will operate at the intersection of RF engineering, systems integration, and advanced semiconductor manufacturing, ensuring best-in-class reliability and performance in highly complex, mission-critical environments.
What You’ll Do- Lead technical problem-solving across RF power systems used in semiconductor manufacturing tools
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions (RCCA) for complex hardware and system-level issues
- Support new product introduction (NPI), qualification, and supplier readiness programs
- Collaborate with global suppliers to improve manufacturing processes, test methods, and quality systems
- Apply structured methodologies including SPC, DOE, GR&R, 8D, and 5-Why analysis
- Work hands‑on with high-power RF systems (1–60 MHz, multi-kilowatt environments), including impedance matching, transmission line theory, and RF measurement techniques
- Utilize advanced electrical test equipment such as oscilloscopes, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and more
- Drive continuous improvement in product reliability, manufacturability, and test efficiency
- BS/MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in RF power systems, semiconductor equipment, or complex electro‑mechanical systems
- Strong understanding of RF theory, transmission lines, impedance matching, and calibration techniques
- Hands‑on experience with PCB assembly, lab testing, and precision measurement tools
- Familiarity with industrial quality systems and manufacturing standards (ISO, IPC, IEEE, UL, RoHS, etc.)
- Proven experience in structured problem‑solving within cross‑functional engineering teams
- Strong communication skills with ability to present technical insights to stakeholders
- Candidates located within the Portland metropolitan area or surrounding regions in Oregon are best positioned to support effective on‑site collaboration and seamless team integration.
