Pay Rate: $60–61/hour
Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to support the design and development of next-generation semiconductor manufacturing equipment. This role focuses on mechanical subsystem design, fluidic systems, engineering analysis, and new product introduction (NPI) within a collaborative product development environment.
The ideal candidate has experience designing precision mechanical assemblies, fluid handling systems, and semiconductor equipment using Siemens NX
, while working closely with cross-functional engineering teams from concept through production.
- Design mechanical components, assemblies, and fluidic subsystems for advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
- Develop and maintain detailed 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and manufacturing documentation using Siemens NX
. - Design and optimize fluid handling systems including manifolds, tubing, valves, fittings, and related mechanical assemblies.
- Perform engineering analysis including FEA, CFD, tolerance stack-up, and structural evaluations to validate designs.
- Support prototype builds, system integration, debugging, and product validation.
- Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) activities from concept through production release.
- Collaborate with systems, electrical, process, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to deliver robust, manufacturable designs.
- Participate in design reviews, DFMEA, root cause analysis, and engineering change activities.
- Improve product reliability, manufacturability, serviceability, and cost through sound engineering practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- 6+ years of mechanical design experience.
- Experience designing semiconductor capital equipment or other complex electro‑mechanical systems.
- Strong proficiency with Siemens NX for 3D modeling and detailed drawing creation.
- Experience performing FEA and CFD analysis to support design decisions.
- Knowledge of fluidic system design including tubing, manifolds, fittings, valves, and process flow components.
- Experience supporting prototype builds, testing, validation, and engineering changes.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, GD&T, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience supporting wet process semiconductor equipment or fluid delivery systems.
- Experience with MATLAB and Simulink
. - Familiarity with Autodesk Inventor or Creo.
- Knowledge of DFMEA, DFM, DFA, and reliability engineering.
- Experience working in fast‑paced NPI environments.
- Hands‑on experience with laboratory equipment, prototype assembly, and mechanical testing.
