Contract Length: 12 months (chances for extension/conversion)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3 days onsite, 2 from WFH.

Overview

The Staff Product Engineer will support the RF Power Group within Supplier Engineering & Technology (SET) at our clients end. This team is responsible for RF Power Systems manufacturing, supplier quality, product engineering, test, and process improvement activities supporting semiconductor wafer fabrication equipment. The role focuses on product lifecycle management, supplier engagement, root cause investigations, quality improvements, and new product introduction (NPI) initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Support semiconductor equipment product lifecycle activities, including development, manufacturing, qualification, and field support.
  • Investigate technical and quality issues affecting RF power systems, assemblies, and components.
  • Lead supplier-related quality and engineering activities, including RCCA reviews and corrective action implementation.
  • Manage projects and programs focused on manufacturing, testing, process improvements, and supplier performance.
  • Evaluate supplier quality systems, manufacturing processes, and process‑of‑record (POR) compliance.
  • Analyze product failures using structured problem‑solving methodologies and statistical techniques.
  • Support engineering change processes, product qualification activities, and documentation reviews.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including design, manufacturing, quality, test, and supplier organizations.
  • Perform laboratory testing, data analysis, and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Present technical findings and recommendations to engineering teams and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
  • BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 10+ years of engineering experience in semiconductor equipment, RF power systems, or related industries.
  • Experience troubleshooting semiconductor equipment systems and components.
  • Knowledge of high‑power RF environments (1 MHz–60 MHz).
  • Understanding of transmission line theory, impedance matching, RF measurements, and calibration techniques.
  • Experience with analog and digital circuits, hardware/software interactions, and control systems.
  • Knowledge of industrial product life cycles including specification, manufacturing, assembly, testing, reliability, integration, and product support.
  • Experience leading structured problem‑solving efforts within cross‑functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PCB assembly, inspection, and test experience.
  • Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) programs.
  • Familiarity with engineering documentation, qualification processes, and engineering change management.
