Nutrition Program Intern
The City of Tualatin is offering an opportunity to learn about the daily operations of the Juanita Pohl Center Meal Program funded under the Older Americans Act. This role provides hands-on experience in congregate meal service, with an emphasis on regulatory compliance, nutrition standards, and programs and services that promote nutrition education, wellness, and social engagement among older adults.
The Nutrition Program Intern will support nutrition education and community engagement activities for older adults through presentations, cooking demonstrations, food tastings, and educational materials. Responsibilities include assisting with participant outreach, data collection, meal program reporting, surveys, and recordkeeping. The intern will also help promote the meal program within the community and support efforts to engage underserved populations. This position provides hands-on experience in nutrition program coordination, participant engagement, data management, and compliance within a publicly funded aging services program.
