Responsibilities- Process multi‑state payroll for medium to large complex clients with a high number of worksite employees.
- Audit payrolls for accuracy, including pay codes, workers’ compensation codes, W‑4 and IRS compliance letters, and vacation, sick and PTO accruals.
- Provide top‑notch customer service to clients, using email and phone conversations, with same‑day responses.
- Maintain payroll recordkeeping and processing functions, including regular and special runs such as commissions, retroactive adjustments, and bonuses.
- Apply intermediate payroll knowledge—state/local taxes, leave, overtime, FLSA, and final check laws—to compute garnishments, deductions, loan payments, and out‑of‑cycle pay runs.
- Conduct research and implement fundamental payroll and PTO regulations, entering and auditing client employee data in the payroll system.
- Display strong communication skills, persuasion, negotiation, and the ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure.
- Demonstrate critical thinking, proactive inquiry resolution, and commitment to the “One Team” initiative.
- Respectfully take direction from managers and leaders while demonstrating behaviors aligned with Xenium Core Values.
- Maintain time‑keeping platforms across all three systems, compile reports, manage PTO plans, and update benefits and tax adjustment forms.
- Input timely and accurate client information into Client Space (CRM) and other systems, including high‑risk details, and track all client service activities.
- Payroll team, Benefits team, HR Business Partners, various clients
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four‑year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience with at least two years of payroll processing experience.
- Multi‑state payroll knowledge required.
- Passion for managing and delivering payroll services.
- Multi‑client experience preferred.
- Prism HR platform experience preferred.

The starting salary for this role ranges from $29.41–$31.25 per hour, based on skills, knowledge, years of experience, and pay equity considerations.
