The Impact You’ll MakeAs a Global Product Support Engineer at Lam, you are the backbone of technical support for field engineers, technicians, and product support personnel. Your expertise is crucial in diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and debugging complex semiconductor equipment. Your swift action in responding to situations is critical in resolving issues and ensuring satisfaction of Lam’s valued customers.
What You’ll Do- Provide technical support to field engineers, technicians, and product support personnel diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing and debugging complex electro/mechanical equipment, computer systems, software, or networked and/or wireless systems.
- Respond to situations where first‑line product support has failed to isolate or fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software.
- Report design, reliability, and maintenance problems or bugs to design engineering/software engineering.
- Be involved in customer installation and training; provide support to customers/users of highly technical products.
- Collaborate with Lam Research colleagues and teams to ensure quality of product and designs and deliverables for customers.
- Deliver presentations to external customers to address concerns and create projects to resolve and improve product performance and experience.
- Work independently and with the team to troubleshoot, problem‑solve, address productivity and CIP projects.
Role requires 20 %–30 % international travel (sometimes including last‑minute travel to address customer concerns).
Who We’re Looking For- Minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.
Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on‑site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely, and fall into two categories – On‑site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On‑site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on‑site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week.
‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1–2 days per week on‑site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
