Role OverviewAs a Supply Chain Business Manager, you will help drive delivery and supplier operational excellence within a global supply chain. This role is instrumental in helping the Supply Chain team navigate through record ramps and other operational complexities. In this position, you will help manage global factories and have responsibility for multiple suppliers within various commodities, with a primary focus on delivery management and on-time delivery performance.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, schedule, and monitor the movement of materials through the production cycle to determine required materials purchases.
- Define metrics and monitor supplier performance against these expectations to ensure continuous supplier improvement.
- Continuously work on process improvement to deploy and develop best known methods related to procurement and inventory control.
- Establish goals with suppliers to ensure material delivery meets forecasted demand.
- Represent supplier business management on a cross‑functional commodity team that focuses on supply challenges.
- Work with engineering and the supplier to resolve complex problems to ensure on‑time delivery of critical material.
- Develop presentations, white papers, and process flow charts to support continuous process improvement projects.
- Work with suppliers to monitor product cost, preventing negative PPV and supporting cost reduction efforts.
- Drive the improvement of suppliers’ manufacturing processes to ensure product quality and on‑time delivery.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field. - Experience:
Five years of experience in managing global factories and various commodities.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Macros, Pivot Tables, and Data Lookup/Indexing.
- Knowledge and practical use of ERP systems, such as SAP.
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems with scalable and repeatable results.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
This is a hybrid position requiring on‑site presence three days per week. The available work locations are Tualatin, OR;
Fremont, CA; and Livermore, CA. The role may require up to 10% domestic and international travel.
