Position OverviewWe are seeking a Supply Chain Business Manager 3 to support supplier and delivery operational excellence within a global supply chain organization. This position is part of the Supply Chain Commodity team and will play a key role in supporting high-growth production ramps, managing operational complexities, and ensuring continuity of critical material supply.
The Supply Chain Business Manager will work with global factories and multiple suppliers across various commodities, partnering closely with engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams to improve supplier performance, material availability, quality, delivery, and cost.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, schedule, and monitor the movement of materials through the production cycle to determine required material purchases.
- Establish supplier performance metrics and monitor results to drive continuous supplier improvement.
- Evaluate supplier quality, performance benchmarks, supply-base risks, and overall supplier capabilities.
- Develop and implement best practices related to procurement, inventory control, and manufacturing strategies, including JIT, Kanban, and min/max inventory methodologies
. - Establish supplier goals and performance expectations to ensure material deliveries meet forecasted demand.
- Represent Supplier Business Management on cross-functional commodity teams addressing supply challenges and operational requirements.
- Partner with engineering and suppliers to resolve complex problems and ensure on-time delivery of critical materials.
- Develop presentations, white papers, process flow charts, and other documentation supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor supplier product costs, help prevent negative PPV, and support cost-reduction initiatives.
- Drive improvements in supplier manufacturing processes to improve product quality and on-time delivery.
- Analyze supply-chain trends, identify risks, and implement scalable and repeatable solutions.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure customer and business requirements are met.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field
. - 5+ years of experience managing global factories, suppliers, and/or multiple commodities.
- Strong supplier management and supply chain experience.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:
- Macros
- Data Lookup/Indexing
- Hands-on experience with SAP or other ERP systems
. - Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to develop scalable, repeatable solutions to complex operational challenges.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, global environment.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 10%, including occasional domestic and international travel.
- Semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing experience.
- Experience with supplier business management or commodity management.
- Experience supporting production ramps or high-volume manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of procurement, inventory management, manufacturing processes, and supplier performance management.
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies and supply-chain optimization.
Candidates should expect an initial screening followed by a one-hour panel interview with approximately 3–4 team members via Microsoft Teams. A second interview may be required.
