The Global Operations Group brings information systems, facilities, supply chain, logistics,and high-volume manufacturing together to drive the engine of our global business operations.
We help Lam deliver industry‑leading solutions with speed and efficiency, while activelysupporting the resilient and profitable growth of Lam's business.
At Lam, as a Buyer, you play a pivotal role in our procurement process. You analyze purchase requirements and coordinate purchasing activities across departments to ensure timely and cost‑effective acquisition of inventory. You'll support the processing purchase requisitions, change orders, and the requests quotation (RFQs) from suppliers. Engaging in cost analysis and volume planning within our enterprise‑wide systems (ERPs), you negotiate for the best value and explore new supply sources for cost savings.
Your expertise ensures Lam's procurement remains efficient and competitive on a global scale.
- Review, analyze and process purchase requisitions and quotations for materials, components, capital equipment and services.
- Manage purchase orders and changes based on demand.
- Understand, maintain, and report weekly KPIs.
- Maintain records of suppliers, materials, prices, delivery dates and inventories.
- Manage purchase order (PO) releases to meet demand requirements.
- Build key supplier relationships to review open action items, performance, demand forecast, and cost reductions.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field with 2+ years of experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent experience.
- Working knowledge or experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) systems such as SAP, Oracle, or other procurement‑related tools.
- Communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
- This is a graduate eligible role.
- Experience in the semiconductor industry or other high-tech industries.
- Foundational understanding of commodity market indicators and technical data.
- Excellent negotiation skills to achieve best value pricing.
