Overview
We are seeking skilled Electrical Assemblers with experience in small part assembly, especially with electrical or wiring components. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a manufacturing or production environment, handling small parts, and using hand tools such as wire cutters and crimpers. Candidates must be able to stand for long periods and work on Fridays and Saturdays as needed.
Responsibilities- Follow established assembly instructions for fiber optic cables and products.
- Maintain a minimum standard quota (time and/or piece count) for a given job assignment.
- Comply with all safety requirements and company policies and procedures.
- Develop an intermediate understanding of tool names and their uses in assembly.
- Identify components and develop beginner-level product knowledge.
- Measure accurately using standard and metric measurements and conversion tools.
- Perform tasks accurately and thoroughly to ensure quality products.
- Report any irregularities in daily goals, quality, or delays to Production Supervisor or management.
- Use basic problem-solving skills to identify issues and initiate constructive change.
- 1 year of small part assembly experience, preferably electrical or wiring.
- Experience with hand tools such as wire cutters, crimpers, rulers, and wire strippers.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
Skills & Qualifications
- Good manual dexterity and eye/hand coordination.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Basic measurement skills using both standard and metric systems.
- Ability to reason and analyze effectively.
- ITAR Compliant
- Highly dependable with a good work ethic and a positive attitude.

Work EnvironmentWork in a clean, organized environment manufacturing fiber optics for government and private clients. Employees will wear a basic gown similar to a lab coat in a cleanroom-type setting. The shifts are from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Thursday, with frequent overtime on Friday.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tualatin, OR.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 – $22.00/hr.
