Position

Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Material Control Technician II to join our prototyping team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in material control processes such as inventory control, material management, storage management, and replenishment. Material Control Technician II responsibilities include receiving and storage of materials, cycle counting, kit pulling, and transacting of parts. This role is critical. Applicants must think independently, and work with little supervision.

Production schedules must be meticulously maintained, and work spaces kept safe and clean.

Responsibilities
  • Manage Production Schedules.
  • Validate availability of parts for work orders.
  • Receive and inspect incoming parts.
  • Maintain inventory levels and order parts.
  • Prepare workorder kits.
  • Prepare cycle counts and count parts.
  • Assist in purchasing and planning.
  • Keep storage locations organized and neat.
  • Implement visual controls.
  • Manage inventory using lean principles.
  • Use forklift to store heavy materials such as metals and plastics.
  • Participate in process improvement activities.
  • Escalate problems and communicate progress.
  • Accurately transact data and update dashboards.
  • Train and support others.

Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of fabrication experience; preferably in mixed metal fabrication.
  • 1-2 years of experience, or training in document control.
  • Forklift certified.
  • Lean manufacturing experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Activities:

    Sitting – 10% Walking/Standing – 90%
  • Lifting:
    Continuously lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Bending:
    Must be able to bend, squat, and climb.
  • Vision:
    Ability to see small or detailed items.
  • Mental Demands:
    Interpret, analyze, research, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Environment:
    Shop/warehouse. Not climate controlled. Exposure to heat and cold, wet/humid conditions, noise/vibration.
Compensation

The salary range for this role is $32 - $45 per hour, based on location, experience, and qualifications.
