Job Summary
Eaton’s IS VEH EMB division is currently seeking a Machine Operator I - 1st Shift to join our Tualatin, OR site.
The hourly rate for this position is $23.00 per hour. The core hours are Monday - Friday - 6:00am to 2:30pm.

Eaton announced, on January 26, 2026, the intent to separate its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) into an independent, publicly traded company. We expect to complete the separation by the end of the first quarter of 2027. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton's plans, programs and practices.
If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Mobility Group when the spinoff closes, the new company will provide further details to employees concerning compensation and benefits at that time.
The Machine Operator is responsible for monitoring, operating, and conducting basic preventative maintenance on production equipment in an electronics assembly environment. The Machine Operator may also assist with assembly processes as needed.
In This Function You Will- Operate PCB specialty machines and understand the basic preventative maintenance for those machines and ability to train.
- Work according to standard operating procedures/work instructions, bill of materials, product specific information, to complete assembly or sub-assemblies.
- Escalate any issues in quality or machine maintenance upon discovery.
- Work independently following standard operating procedures/work instructions, bill of materials, product specific information, and instruction from Management or Engineering to established procedures.
- Work closely with Engineering to assist with engineering change modification implementation. Incorporate Engineering change notices into assembly as instructed.
- Maintain a well‑organized materials storage for components, supplies and WIP assemblies.
- Inspect material before and after assembly using various fixtures, gauges or tools.
- Contribute to the implementation and ongoing use of continuous improvement standards/events and 5S.
- Adhere to all environmental, health, safety rules and regulations, and work instructions.
- Foster an environment that promotes Eaton’s goals, philosophies, and encourages continuous improvement through participation and teamwork.
- Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.

- Minimum of 1–3 years of Machine Operator experience.
- IPC Certified or the ability to acquire IPC certification.
- Ability to set up machinery.
- Ability to read process sheets.
- Visual inspection of cold and hot parts.
- Entering data into computer.
- Computer skills – Microsoft Office, Internet, etc.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 40lbs with reasonable accommodation.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time (6‑8 hours a day).
- Repetitive lifting, bending, and squatting are inherent to this position.
