Overview
OPTI STAFFING IS HIRING! Location:
Tigard, OR. Pay: $24-$27/hr DOE.
Schedule:
24/5 facility with three shifts available.
In this role, you will support all maintenance activities, including tool maintenance and repairs across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment, as well as facility-related needs. You’ll help sustain a preventative maintenance approach while also responding to urgent production requirements as needed. This position follows a 3-step interview process.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities – Tooling Support- Perform preventative maintenance on molds and components, including disassembly, cleaning, lubrication, reassembly, and proper storage.
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, and specifications to determine procedures, tolerances, and setup requirements.
- Select, align, and secure fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines.
- Grind, file, and sand components to ensure proper fit and finish mold cavities.
- Install machined replacement parts in machines, molds, and equipment; test functionality and performance.
- Accurately document job activities and track all tooling movement.
- Verify finished work pieces meet specifications and quality standards.
- Support the Last Time Buy process through tool preparation, documentation, and system updates.
- Maintain utility systems to ensure continuous delivery of heat, electrical power, gas, and compressed air.
- Install, repair, and replace electrical equipment, wiring, and fixtures.
- Fabricate and modify machines, tools, and auxiliary equipment to support new products and process improvements.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems; perform equipment repairs as directed.
- Operate cutting torches and welding equipment to cut, join, and repair metal components.
- Safely work with electrical systems up to 480 volts.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Apply ergonomic principles when fabricating and repairing workstations, tables, and benches.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and properly store tools and equipment after each job.
- Rebuild machines and overhaul components through disassembly, inspection, and replacement of parts.
- Clean, lubricate, and maintain bearings, gears, shafts, and other mechanical components.
- 2+ years of experience as a Maintenance Technician or Industrial Maintenance Technician
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Ability to read hardcopy blueprints, schematics, and manuals (required). Nothing is digital.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), email, and ERP systems
- Ability to perform basic math using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
