Operations Engineer
POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Supply Chain Manager to join our Supply Chain team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding and proven track record in all facets of master production scheduling (MPS), capacity planning, material requirements planning (MRP), and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP). This role is critical in ensuring a balanced and efficient supply chain that aligns with our business objectives and customer demands.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Master Production Scheduling (MPS)Develop, manage, and maintain the aggregate Master Production Schedule (MPS) for all finished goods and key components, optimizing for service level, inventory, and resource utilization.
Develop and monitor and report on MPS stability and performance, identifying and resolving potential issues.
Conduct short-term, mid-term, and long-term capacity planning (RCCP/CRP) to identify and mitigate bottlenecks in production.
Collaborate with Operations and Engineering to ensure alignment between production plans and available resources (labor, equipment, and facility).
Manage and execute the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) process to ensure timely and accurate material availability for the production schedule.
Review and maintain critical planning parameters (e.g., lead times, safety stock, lot sizes) within the ERP system.
Work closely with Procurement to manage supplier performance and resolve material shortages.
Play a lead role in the Quarterly S&OP cycle, facilitating cross-functional meetings and preparing necessary documentation.
Translate the demand plan into a feasible supply plan, highlighting risks and opportunities.
Drive continuous improvement in the S&OP process maturity and effectiveness.
Analyze inventory levels, forecasts, and production rates to optimize working capital and minimize obsolescence.
Develop and present key performance indicators (KPIs) related to planning accuracy, schedule adherence, and inventory health.
Mentor and support junior staff as required.
Planning the storage / movement of finished goods and components from the facility to the customer.
Includes warehousing, transportation, and delivery scheduling management.
Managing the levels of raw materials, work-in-process (WIP), and finished goods to minimize holding costs and avoid stock-outs.
Includes setting reorder points and safety stock levels.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a planning role within a manufacturing or supply chain environment.
Demonstrable expertise and practical application in MPS, Capacity Planning, MRP, and S&OP.
Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Dynamics) and advanced planning tools.
