Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate press brake machines to produce parts and tools from metal, ensuring precise bending, shaping, and cutting.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings to determine appropriate machine settings and production specifications.
  • Inspect completed work pieces for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Make necessary adjustments to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Perform routine maintenance on press brake machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and troubleshooting minor mechanical issues.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.
  • Maintain accurate records of production runs, machine settings, and maintenance activities. Complete necessary documentation for quality control and inventory management.
  • Work closely with other team members, including engineers and quality control personnel, to resolve any production issues and improve overall efficiency.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment.
  • Knowledge of computer‑aided design (CAD) software.
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Technical training or certification in machine operation or metalworking is a plus.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills.
  • Familiarity with various types of metal and their properties.
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments and tools.
  • Ability to lift and move materials up to 60 pounds. Prolonged standing, bending, and reaching are required.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high‑quality work.
  • Previous experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Work Environment
  • Physically demanding, working on shop floor.
  • Personal Protection Equipment must be worn on the shop floor, all PPE provided.
