Role OverviewThis position requires navigating computer-based work instructions to install parts and hardware. The role involves using hand tools and fixtures on wafer fabrication equipment (WFE) within a Lean manufacturing clean-room environment. This is an opportunity to join a team focused on quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Use hand tools, torque wrenches, equipment, and fixtures to assemble WFE.
- Read and navigate work instructions and schematics.
- Work collaboratively in teams to maintain workflow and production schedules.
- Provide flexibility for changing priorities, including rework and pilot build projects.
- Verify correct parts delivery and perform visual inspection of components prior to installation.
- Assist with audits through visual inspection and checklist verification.
- Install parts and hardware correctly by following detailed instructions and using tools and fixtures as needed.
- Communicate system status effectively during shift pass-down.
- Complete all required safety training and adhere to all personal and product safety guidelines.
- Follow safe work practices, including lifting procedures and the use of ergonomic equipment.
- Utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow clean-room procedures.
- Comply with Lockout Tagout (LOTO) policies.
- Perform risk management by documenting, correcting, and escalating any safety hazards.
- Support a safe work environment by responding to and escalating any unresolved safety issues.
- Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Respond promptly to supervisors and co-workers.
- Actively participate in meetings and training sessions.
- Identify and communicate production issues clearly and suggest continuous improvements.
Assembler offers are based on experience after an interview with a supervisor to determine the appropriate level (Assembler 2, 3, 4, or
5).
- Work 12+ hour shifts in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
- Lift and install parts up to 35 pounds manually.
- Perform tasks at a working height of 22 inches from the ground.
- Frequently kneel, crouch, and squat during a shift.
- Constantly reach into machines and use manual tools.
- Back End Nights (BEN) Shift: Wednesday to Friday, alternating Saturday.
- The first three weeks of training for all assemblers will be Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, before moving to the assigned shift in the fourth week.
