CNC Lathe Machinist Swing Shift

Schedule: Monday thru Thursday from 3:30 pm to 2:00 am, 10% differential for this schedule
Salary Range: $20.00 to $36.00 hourly

We are currently seeking several CNC Lathe Machinist for our Shields Manufacturing facility in Tualatin, Oregon (On-site position). Multiple shifts available.

Team members will carry out a variety of tasks in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment.

CNC Lathe Machinist (Levels 1-3) – CNC Lathe Machinist

• Ability to read and understand drawings
• Starts and observes machine operation
• Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors
• Processes offset changes unassisted
• Checks parts using micrometers, calipers, and other measuring devices
• Verifies conformance of completed work
• Works on lathes such as Mori Seiki (NLX
  2500, NLX
  3000, NLX
  4000, NZX
  2000), Hitachi Seiki, Nakamura Tome, Haas TL-2, Manual Lathe

• Extensive machine shop/metal working skills
• Ability to work with decimals
• Comfortable working with close tolerances (thousandths)
• Ability to set up your own jobs and run first part
• Ability to adjust programs if required
