Cylinder Handler Loader - Tualatin

Position Summary

This position is responsible for loading and unloading cylinders on vehicles, shipping and receiving of cylinders, cylinder staging and limited customer service. To include moving cylinders to other designated destinations along with ensuring the accuracy and safety of the product. Reports to Site or Operations Manager/Supervisor. Interacts with customers, sales, management and other operations personnel.

• Responsible for loading and unloading cylinders on assigned trucks or tractors or other designated areas throughout the location including checking identification, labels, valves, styles, to determine if cylinder needs filled or should remain empty, if it needs painted or has any marks, and following required procedures to ensure safe storage of all cylinder products.
• Responsible for making sure all loads are secure prior to deliveries. This includes securing all cylinders or material by checking strapping, location of cylinder in vehicle, ensuring correct cylinders are loaded, checking that all cylinders have been checked and have proper tags.
• Responsible for material handling of cylinders both manually, use of dollies, carts and forklifts.
• Ability to transport vehicles (including trucks, tractors, forklift, and cylinder carts) requiring different dock locations when loading or unloading trucks or tractors. All safety procedures and policies must be followed to ensure the safety of any equipment, containers, or materials.
• Responsible for housekeeping duties for both safety and appearance purposes.
• Adheres to all quality assurance policies and standards.
• Notifies supervisor of quality assurance problems.
• Performs other projects and duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.

The job is very physical. Loading and offloading cylinders and dewars on pallets. Moving cylinders. Using a cylinder cart when more than 15 ft. Forklift is used to load and offload truck or move pallets.
