Plant Manager

About the Position

Plant Manager – Tualatin, OR, United States.

• Provide leadership and direction for entry‑level production employees to consistently meet customer demand.
• Coordinate daily production activities, distribution requirements, local delivery routes and shuttle scheduling.
• Lead reliability, compliance, quality, and safety initiatives to meet governmental and environmental regulations.
• Ensure employees are trained and committed to Linde Safety and Quality systems, working closely with the Compliance Manager to coordinate training.
• Monitor production performance and manpower levels to maintain efficiency, anticipate problems, and develop contingencies.
• Identify operational challenges and lead improvement efforts related to production processes, shift scheduling, and training; report progress and findings to plant management.
• Manage and elevate equipment and product quality issues, maintain adequate inventory of production supplies, support 5S and Lean projects, and hazardous waste activities; continuously seek ways to reduce plant operating costs through Operational Excellence strategies.

• Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in an industrial plant environment.
• More than five (5+) years of experience in driver, operations, distribution or quality roles.
• At least three (3) years of experience leading and developing employees.
• Willingness to work in a unionized environment is required.
