HOUSTON, TX (77047) As a Material Planner I, you will be the heartbeat of our supply chain, coordinating the procurement and inventory management of materials to seamlessly support production schedules and meet customer demand.
In this role, you will bridge the gap between suppliers, production teams, and internal stakeholders. Your mission is to ensure the right materials arrive at the exact right time, maintaining optimal inventory levels while keeping our operations running smoothly.
Salary: $26 - $27.5 per hour
Shift: First
Work Hours: 8 AM – 4 PM
Education: Associate
- MRP Management: Generate and maintain accurate Material Requirements Plans (MRP) driven by production schedules, sales forecasts, and inventory targets.
- Supplier Coordination: Partner closely with suppliers to procure materials, components, and parts, tracking lead times to guarantee on-time delivery and strict adherence to quality standards.
- Inventory Optimization: Actively monitor raw materials, finished goods, and components; proactively initiate replenishment orders to prevent stockouts while keeping excess inventory to a minimum.
- Production Alignment: Collaborate daily with production teams to prioritize and schedule material deliveries, keeping supply aligned with real‑time manufacturing and customer needs.
- Data Integrity & Audits: Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to verify system accuracy, reconcile discrepancies, and keep data pristine.
- Performance Analysis: Analyze demand patterns, consumption rates, and supplier performance metrics to spot trends and identify cost‑reduction opportunities.
- Risk Mitigation: Communicate dynamically across cross‑functional teams (Logistics, Production, Purchasing) to quickly resolve supply chain disruptions and material availability bottlenecks.
