This role assembles knife components into fully finished products on a production line, using hand and power tools in a clean, fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will perform repetitive assembly tasks, learn multiple workstations, and consistently meet daily production goals while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities- Perform repetitive work station and line assembly operations to assemble knife components into completed knives.
- Use hand tools and power tools to perform mechanical assembly tasks according to established procedures.
- Learn and operate all assembly stations by the end of the training period to provide flexibility on the production line.
- Work with small parts and follow multiple sequential steps to complete each assembly accurately.
- Meet daily production numbers in a results-driven environment while maintaining quality and consistency.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly, and organized condition at all times.
- Follow all prescribed safety regulations and contribute to a safety-minded culture on the production floor.
- Stay focused and on task throughout the shift in a fast-paced setting with intense deadlines in certain departments.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to support smooth workflow and resolve issues promptly.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support overall manufacturing operations.
- Strong manual dexterity to handle small parts and perform precise assembly work.
- Consistently positive attitude and effective communication skills in a team environment.
- High attention to detail to ensure accurate assembly and quality workmanship.
- Ability to stand for the entire shift in a fast-paced production environment.
- Ability to work with small parts safely and efficiently.
- Ability to remember and perform multiple steps in the correct sequence.
- Mechanical aptitude for assembly and manufacturing tasks.
- Ability to pass a knife assembly test.
- Comfort using hand tools and basic mechanical assembly tools.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing, assembly, or production environments.
- Experience in mechanical assembly or assembly line work.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a results-driven setting with daily production targets.
- Strong focus on safety and adherence to safety procedures.
- Ability to adapt to different workstations and tasks as needed.

WorkEnvironment
The work environment is a very fast-paced, clean, and friendly manufacturing facility where many roles involve meeting intense deadlines and hitting daily production numbers. The production floor emphasizes safety and seeks individuals who are safety minded, focused, and able to stay on task throughout the shift. You will stand for most or all of the shift while performing repetitive mechanical assembly tasks using hand tools and other basic equipment.
The facility is bright and well-maintained, supporting a professional and efficient production operation.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tualatin, OR.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.50/hr.
