Senior Professional Role

This is an advanced career level where a senior professional typically stabilizes. Applies depth of knowledge and experience to enable contribution in a more complex and/or critical environment. With wide-ranging experience, applies professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways. Some barriers to entry may exist at this level (e.g., department/peer review). This is the level at which a career may plateau.

Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise. Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Takes initiative to recognize obstacles and create solutions.

Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel (Team Lead). Requires minimal direction. Identifies and pursues opportunities for innovation within the discipline or business area. Provides informal guidance to less experienced colleagues.

Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience.

'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
