Process Technician – R&D Manufacturing (Night Shift)

Pay Rate: $28.57 – $36.43 per hour (includes shift differential).

Schedule:

Wednesday–Saturday, 4:30 PM – 5:00 AM (compressed work week).

Contract:

2 years (possible extension after 6 months based on performance) | Full-time.

Position overview

We are seeking a Process Technician to support R&D and semiconductor manufacturing operations in a 300mm wafer cleanroom environment. This role is hands‑on and focuses on operating advanced processing tools, supporting engineering experiments, and ensuring process consistency and data accuracy.

You will work closely with engineers and technical teams to execute experiments, monitor process performance, and help identify yield and process improvement opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain semiconductor processing tools in a cleanroom environment
  • Set up equipment for experimental and production runs
  • Execute process experiments following defined procedures and engineering instructions
  • Monitor tool performance and ensure safe, efficient operations
  • Collect, record, and document process data using Excel and internal systems
  • Prepare charts, logs, and reports for engineering analysis
  • Support troubleshooting and process improvement activities
  • Follow strict operational procedures and best known methods (BKMs)
  • Communicate results and observations clearly to engineering teams
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant work environment
What we’re looking for
  • High school diploma or associate degree (or equivalent experience)
  • High attention to detail and strong documentation habits
  • Ability to work in a structured, process‑driven environment
  • Strong sense of urgency, accountability, and reliability
  • Ability to multitask and follow precise technical instructions
  • Comfort working in a cleanroom manufacturing environment
  • Proven stability and consistency in prior roles
Work environment
  • Advanced semiconductor R&D cleanroom (Class 10 environment)
  • Highly structured and safety‑critical manufacturing setting
  • Night shift schedule with compressed work weeks
  • Initial 6‑week training period on day shift before transition to nights
