Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced professional with extensive expertise in CNC manufacturing environments. This role primarily focuses on machine health and reliability, with an emphasis on maximizing machine uptime, building a robust Preventive Maintenance (PM) program, and driving continuous process improvement across our shop floor. The position operates on a day shift from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Responsibilities- Maximize machine uptime and reliability by developing and continuously improving the Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedule for all CNC turning, milling, and multi-axis equipment.
- Serve as the first responder for machine downtime events; diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve or escalate issues with urgency.
- Coordinate with OEM service technicians and CNC repair vendors to minimize mean time to repair (MTTR).
- Track and analyze downtime trends; identify repeat failure patterns and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain spare parts inventory critical to machine uptime, including spindles, servo drives, and coolant components.
- Partner with operators and programmers to identify machine-related quality or performance issues before they become failures.
- Build, own, and continuously refine a structured PM program covering all production equipment.
- Schedule PM activities to minimize production impact, coordinating with the Manufacturing Manager and scheduling team.
- Manage PM documentation, checklists, and compliance records in our maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Identify and eliminate chronic sources of unplanned downtime through root-cause analysis and corrective action.
- Evaluate and recommend maintenance process improvements, tooling, or technology upgrades.
- Supervise and develop a team of CNC Machine Technicians, PM/Rigging Technicians, and Facilities Technicians.
- Oversee general facilities maintenance, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection.
- Manage vendor relationships for facilities services and maintain compliance documentation.
- Enforce and model safe work practices across all maintenance activities and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
- 5+ years of maintenance experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting expertise.
- 1+ year of CNC maintenance experience with familiarity in CNC control systems such as Fanuc, Siemens, and Mazatrol.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and maintenance management software.
- Proven ability to lead a maintenance team in a fast-paced, 7-day production operation.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in a made-to-print or high-mix, low-volume CNC shop.
- Experience in rigging, machine installation, or equipment relocation.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies (5S, TPM, SMED).
- Associate degree or technical certification in electromechanical systems, industrial maintenance, or a related field.

This position is based in a high-throughput CNC precision machining facility operating continuously to meet exacting customer specifications. The work environment is fast-paced, with a strong emphasis on machine reliability and preventive maintenance as key competitive advantages. The role adheres to a day shift schedule from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

This is a Permanent position based out of Tualatin, OR.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $120000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
