Mill Machinist
We are seeking a skilled Mill Machinist with the ability to read and understand drawings, start and observe machine operations, and calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors. The successful candidate will process offset changes unassisted, check parts using micrometers, calipers, and other measuring devices, and verify the conformance of completed work. You will work on Vertical Mills, Haas, and Brother Machines, often handling multiple machines at a time.
Responsibilities- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Operate and monitor machine operations efficiently.
- Calculate and set machining controls accurately.
- Perform process offset changes independently.
- Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, and other precision tools.
- Verify completed work meets specifications.
- Operate multiple machines simultaneously, including Vertical Mills, Haas, and Brother Machines.
- Experience with CNC operations, seeking Level 1 to Level 3 CNC Machinists.
- Ability to load parts at Level 1 and perform complex setups at Level 3+.
- Proficiency in working with blueprints, mills, lathes, and machine operations.
- Knowledge of Haas machinery, 3-axis to 5-axis operations, GD&T, and G Codes.
- Skilled in using calipers and micrometers.
Skills & Qualifications
- Extensive machine shop and metalworking skills.
- Ability to work with decimals and close tolerances.
- Capability to set up and run first part of jobs independently.
- Competence in adjusting programs when necessary.

Work EnvironmentThe work environment is a clean machine shop offering multiple shift options. Day shift runs Monday through Thursday from 6 am to 4:30 pm. Swing shift, which includes a 10% differential, is Monday through Thursday from 3:30 pm to 2:00 am. The weekend shift, also with a 10% differential, operates Friday through Sunday from 6:00 am to 6:30 pm. All shifts will train on days, with the option for higher-level candidates to train on their respective shifts if needed.
JobType & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tualatin, OR.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $42.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
