Steel Welder- Swing Job Tualatin area,Oregon USA,Manufacturing / Production

A local Tualatin company is searching for a MIG/TIG Welder who will spend the majority of the workday fabricating custom HVAC systems for industrial settings. The Welder is responsible for using various welding processes to weld, repair, and/or join metal components holding shop standards. They will need to produce a quality product in a timely manner that conform to all written practices.

This is an Evaluation-to-hire Position, and the company is growing with multiple incoming projects!

You will operate appropriate equipment to put together mechanical structures or parts with a great deal of precision. Your job is important as it provides the foundation for strong infrastructure.

Your role is a critical area for incoming and outgoing projects for our clients. Our staff, including our welding teams will work independently, taking the lead on safety reporting and tracking, acting as an internal resource for recommendations for design.

What we look for in Welders:

Responsible for welding metal components together to fabricate or repair products according to shop blueprints, SOE’s, OMS’s, to AWS specifications.
Welding processes will include GMAW, FCAW, and Resistance Welding.
Cuts metal using plasma cutter or grinding discs following shop blueprints.
May be required to pass employer performance tests or standard tests to meet certification standards of AWS.
May operate the following:
Chop Saw, Crane, Die Grinder, Drill Press, Grinder, Bandsaw
Work in a safe and efficient manner.
Utilization of lean practices to improve processes and sustain good housekeeping.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Problem solving
Minimum 1 year of production welding
Willing to flex to different areas as needed
Demonstrates safe working practices
Able to stand for prolonged periods on a concrete floor
Must be able to lift 25lbs.
Good manual dexterity.
Must be able to climb ladders and work in high areas

Pay

:$22.00 – 25.50 / Hour Depending on Shift and Experience

Schedule:

Monday – Thursday

Swing Shift: 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM, once trained OT on Fridays is optional.
