Mechanical Assembly Technician – Semiconductor Equipment

This role focuses on building and assembling high-quality cabinets and mechanical subassemblies used in fluid delivery and process systems for the semiconductor industry. You will use your mechanical aptitude, hand and power tool experience, and ability to follow detailed assembly drawings and work instructions to produce precise, reliable equipment in a clean, modern manufacturing environment.

• Assemble cabinets, frames, panels, and mechanical subassemblies used in fluid delivery processing systems for semiconductor tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, schematics, and detailed work instructions to complete assemblies accurately.
• Use hand tools and power tools such as drills, drivers, and measuring devices to perform mechanical assembly tasks.
• Install hardware, brackets, fittings, tubing, and other mechanical components according to engineering specifications.
• Verify proper fit, alignment, and functionality of assembled components and make adjustments as needed.
• Perform quality inspections to ensure products meet engineering standards and customer requirements.
• Maintain accurate production documentation and assembly records for all work performed.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to resolve assembly issues and improve processes.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area at all times.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to meeting production schedules and output targets.

• At least 1 year of experience in manufacturing, assembly, mechanical, or production work.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and comfort working with hand and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Experience performing detailed mechanical assembly in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a consistent commitment to product quality.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods during the shift.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
• Hands-on experience with hand tools and mechanical assembly at a workbench environment.

• Experience with electrical assembly, including wiring, cable routing, and interpreting electrical schematics.
• Familiarity with fluid delivery cabinets or similar equipment used in semiconductor processing tools.
• Comfort working from detailed engineering documentation and production records.
• Interest in developing advanced mechanical and technical skills within a high-tech industry.
• Ability to contribute ideas to process improvement and continuous improvement initiatives.

The position is based in a clean, modern manufacturing facility with a focus on precision assembly for semiconductor equipment. Initial training takes place Monday through Thursday from 5:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. until mid-September, followed by a swing shift schedule of Monday through Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., with regular overtime opportunities on Fridays. Work is primarily performed at a workbench assembling fluid delivery cabinets and mechanical subassemblies using hand and power tools.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tualatin, OR.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.10/hr.
