We are seeking a detail-oriented Powder Coat Technician to join our Production team. This position is responsible for supporting all aspects of the powder coating process, including part preparation, masking, blasting support, coating application, inspection, and packaging. The ideal candidate takes pride in producing high-quality finished products, works safely, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You'll DoPowder Coating Operations- Set up and operate manual powder coating equipment to apply coatings to a variety of manufactured components.
- Apply powder coatings in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company quality standards.
- Process parts through coating, curing, cooling, and unloading operations.
- Ensure proper coating thickness, coverage, and finish quality.
- Maintain high quality standards within the environmentally controlled powder coating area.
- Load and unload parts and components onto coating racks and conveyors.
- Operate gantry lifting equipment when required to safely move materials.
- Mask and unmask parts according to manufacturing specifications.
- Remove debris and prepare components following sandblasting operations.
- Support sandblasting and other pre-coating preparation activities as needed.
- Inspect parts before and after coating for defects, damage, contamination, and finish quality.
- Verify finished products meet customer requirements and company standards.
- Identify and communicate quality concerns promptly.
- Assist with root-cause analysis and corrective actions when needed.
- Contribute ideas that improve productivity, quality, and process efficiency.
- Palletize, package, and prepare finished products for shipment.
- Maintain accurate production documentation as required.
- Assist other production departments as workload demands require.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
- Participate in safety meetings and training programs.
- Properly use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Support continuous improvement efforts focused on safety, quality, and efficiency.
Required Qualifications

- Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn manufacturing processes.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Experience using hand tools and handheld power tools.
- Ability to accurately use measuring devices in both metric and imperial units.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.

- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Ability to routinely lift and maneuver materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to wear required PPE during coating, blasting, and production activities.
- Good housekeeping habits with a focus on maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Previous powder coating, painting, blasting, finishing, or industrial coating experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Forklift or material-handling equipment experience.
- Experience working with quality standards and inspection processes.
- Fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Primarily indoor production and coating operations.
- Frequent standing, walking, lifting, bending, and material handling.
- Exposure to coating and blasting operations while using required PPE.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required on the shop floor and provided by the company.
