Labor And Delivery Registered Nurse
The registered nurse specializes in labor and delivery, providing comprehensive care to expectant mothers throughout the birthing process. This role involves collaborating with medical teams to ensure safe and positive delivery experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and monitor maternal and fetal health during labor and delivery.
- Administer medications, including epidurals and other anesthesia as needed.
- Support patients through labor, offering comfort and education.
- Assist physicians and midwives with delivery procedures and neonatal resuscitation.
- Document patient progress and interventions accurately in electronic health records.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols.
Qualifications:
- Hold an active Oregon State RN license or proof of license application and fingerprinting.
- Have at least 1 year of specialty experience in labor and delivery.
- Demonstrate proficiency with Epic electronic medical records.
- Possess current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Complete relevant fetal monitoring training (AWHONN advanced/intermediate or Relias fetal heart monitoring).
- Be willing to float within the facility and system as required.
