Overview A manufacturing organization is seeking a detail oriented Quality Engineer to support incoming inspection and quality assurance activities. This contract role focuses on ensuring all incoming materials and components meet defined quality standards and specifications, helping maintain product integrity and reliability.

Responsibilities
  • Perform thorough incoming inspections of materials and components to verify compliance with quality standards and specifications
  • Document inspection results accurately, including non conformance reports and corrective actions
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal cross functional teams to resolve quality issues and improve incoming material quality
  • Develop, maintain, and apply quality assurance procedures and guidelines for incoming inspection processes
  • Analyze inspection data and trends to identify improvement opportunities and support quality decisions
  • Provide guidance and training to team members on quality standards, inspection techniques, and best practices
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency
  • Support internal and external audits related to incoming inspection and quality control
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment, with a focus on incoming inspection
  • Strong knowledge of quality control methodologies and tools (e.g., ISO standards, Six Sigma concepts)
  • Hands on experience using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and root cause analysis skills
  • High attention to detail with strong documentation practices
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with suppliers and internal teams
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality management systems
Preferred Qualifications
  • Quality certification such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or similar
  • Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and quality improvement techniques
  • Familiarity with quality standards related to electrical or mechanical components
