You will handle preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and equipment rebuilds while supporting continuous improvement, safety, and uptime across the facility. The position primarily operates on a day shift schedule from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with consideration for candidates who require a swing shift.

  • Troubleshoot mechanical problems on production equipment and accurately diagnose root causes.
  • Identify areas of concern and components that may fail soon, and communicate findings to prevent unplanned downtime.

  • Provide project support by following instructions from more advanced technicians and supporting special maintenance initiatives.
  • Plan, organize, and execute assigned tasks with minimal direction, demonstrating ownership and accountability.

  • Collaborate effectively with coworkers to maintain a strong team atmosphere and support a safety-focused culture.
  • Drive or learn to drive a forklift to move equipment, materials, or parts as required for maintenance activities.
  • Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality, recognizing that two unplanned absences in the first 30 days may result in termination.
  • Perform other related maintenance duties as assigned to support facility operations and production needs.
  • For more advanced-level technicians, troubleshoot electrical problems more independently and support complex diagnostics.
  • Make advanced machine parameter adjustments to improve equipment performance and reliability.
  • Assist in identifying part numbers and vendor sources for replacement parts, helping to streamline the maintenance supply chain.
  • Perform minor rewiring of equipment as needed to support repairs and modifications.
  • Fabricate specialty parts under supervision using appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, P&, and technical drawings to guide maintenance and repair work.
  • Operate MIG/TIG welders, manual mills, and lathes to support equipment repair and fabrication tasks.
  • Assist in training lower-level technicians by sharing knowledge, demonstrating best practices, and supporting skill development.
  • Recommend improvements to maintenance procedures, processes, and documentation to enhance efficiency and safety.
  • Assist in new equipment installations, facility layout changes, and other special projects as needed.
