This position works on the day shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with the expectation of flexibility to support production needs as required.

Responsibilities

  • Execute scheduled preventive maintenance tasks on CNC turning centers, machining centers, and multi-axis equipment to minimize unplanned downtime.
  • Respond promptly to machine downtime events, diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults, and restore production as quickly and safely as possible.
  • Perform hands-on repairs including lubrication system service, coolant system maintenance, way cleaning, filter replacements, belt and coupling inspections, and basic servo and spindle diagnostics.
  • Document all maintenance activities accurately in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), including work orders, preventive maintenance completions, parts used, and time to repair.
  • Maintain, organize, and track spare parts inventory relevant to machine uptime, including filters, belts, seals, sensors, and other consumable components.
  • Communicate clearly and consistently with machine operators and maintenance leadership regarding machine condition, repair status, and recurring issues.
  • Support the installation, leveling, alignment, and commissioning of new or relocated CNC and production equipment.
  • Apply troubleshooting skills to a variety of electrically controlled and mechanically actuated production equipment, such as programmable automation, industrial robotics, conveyors, actuator-driven machinery, and electrically controlled grinders.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings to diagnose and resolve issues effectively.
  • Follow structured maintenance and continuous improvement practices, contributing to a clean, organized, and efficient maintenance workspace.

Essential Skills

  • At least 2 years of equipment maintenance experience on electrically controlled and mechanically actuated production equipment, such as programmable automation, industrial robotics, conveyors, actuator-driven machinery, or electrically controlled grinders.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, lubrication, coolant systems, drives, and motion components.
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting skills, including the ability to read wiring diagrams and identify faulty components.
