Job Summary
PARR is a homebuilding supplies company offering driving positions for Door & Millwork Driver roles. Pay ranges from $24.38 to $26.63 per hour.
Qualifications- Class C Driver's License with a good driving record.
- Age 21 or older.
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
- Current DOT Medical Card or willingness to obtain one.
- Knowledge of vehicle safety audits and reporting malfunctioning equipment as per federal and state regulations.
- Open and transparent communication skills.
- Familiarity with GPS devices or map applications.
- Driving experience within 50‑mile radius of primary location preferred.
- Safely and efficiently load and unload building materials from commercial motor vehicles.
- Travel safely and legally to destinations via public and private roads.
- Complete mileage and fuel usage reports.
- Demonstrate commitment to on‑time and in‑full deliveries.
- Follow delivery procedures, including taking photos after each delivery.
- Perform daily pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections of all equipment.
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with customers, contractors, and vendors.
- Perform required safety audits (daily safety audits, weekly brake inspections) and report malfunctioning equipment immediately.
- Report all accidents or incidents promptly.
- Annually update driver qualification file per regulatory requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness of yard, warehouse, and vehicle.
- Use downtime productively, keep truck supplied, organized, and clean.
- Check loads for accuracy and ensure all material transported has an invoice or Material Returns Form.
- Learn products, applications, tie‑down rules, weight, height, and length limits, and best practices.
- Participate in training as available.
- Pass DOT pre‑placement physical.
- Ability to lift up to 90 lbs.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to sit for extended periods, stoop, bend and walk.
- Earn 2 weeks vacation on day one, obtaining up to 4 weeks annually.
