Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association Complete Pediatric Trauma Care After Resuscitation (P-CAR) within 6 months of hire National Institutes of Health (NIH) Stroke Scale (NIHSS) must be completed within 6 months of hire
Must-Have:Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Nursing
Description:
This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in pediatrics.
The nurse performs a variety of nursing care procedures requiring professional knowledge and consideration for specific patient conditions and treatments.
The nurse must be able to work independently in completing assignments.
Guidelines include physician orders, standards of care, nursing policies and procedures manuals, and hospital policies.
Nursing duties include providing support to individuals of all ages and their families.
The work setting offers a culturally rich environment and a diverse community.
The staff includes surgeons, general medical officers, internal medicine specialists, psychiatrists, pediatricians, family practice physicians, obstetricians, ENT specialists, orthopedic surgeons, and urologists.
Dental staff comprises general dentists, endodontists, oral and maxillofacial surgeons, pediatric dentists, dental assistants, and hygienists.
The nursing staff includes registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, nursing assistants, community health nurses, nurse practitioners, nurse midwives, CRNAs, and community health medics.
The work location serves a wide community area and provides comprehensive services including emergency care, outpatient services, and surgical procedures.
This role requires the nurse to maintain current certifications throughout employment.
