EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

Bachelors degree with a concentration in psychology, social work, human services, special education or counseling;
Masters degree preferred but not required

Minimum 1 year experience working with individuals with a mental health diagnosis

Clean driving record

Basic computer and documentation skills

Engage in Intensive-In-Home, Mental Health Skill Building, Community Stabilization, Mobile Crisis Response, and/or Psychosocial Rehabilitation Services.

Makes contact with individual/family and referral source within 24 hours of accepting referral.

Engage individuals in individual and/or family sessions while providing psychoeducation, behavioral support, and therapeutic interventions.

Utilize verbal de-escalation techniques and strategies to assist the individual with maintaining self-control. Educate the individual on and assist them with utilizing coping skills to manage behaviors and emotions.

During IIH Services, engage in services specifically designed to improve family dynamics, provide modeling, and the clinically necessary interventions that increase functional and therapeutic interpersonal relations between family members in the home. Promote psycho educational benefits in the home setting to assist the individual and family with avoiding an out-of-home placement or assist with transition home from an out-of-home placement.
