Overview
The Supply Chain Expeditor plays a critical role in ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services to support the organization's operations. This position is responsible for monitoring purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers, expediting shipments, resolving issues, and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders. The role requires strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as a keen ability to identify and mitigate potential delays in the procurement process.

Required QualificationsEducation: A Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
This position requires a minimum of 2-4 years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, logistics, or a related field. Candidates should have proven experience in working with suppliers, managing purchase orders, and expediting deliveries. Familiarity with shipping terms, Incoterms, and logistics procedures is highly desirable, and experience with ERP systems or procurement software is considered a plus.

Experience:
Candidates with significant hands-on experience in supply chain or procurement operations, even without formal education in the field, will be considered. This includes roles involving vendor coordination, order tracking, logistics management, or similar tasks.
Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations: A valid Georgia Drivers License
Specialized SkillsSpecialized Skills (e.g., typing, computers, software, tools and equipment uses, etc.): Possess strong organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple purchase orders and deadlines simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for liaising effectively with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and logistics providers. Proficiency in ERP systems (such as SAP, Oracle, or similar), procurement software, and Microsoft Office tools (including Excel, Word, and Outlook) is required.
The candidate must demonstrate problem-solving and decision-making abilities, particularly under tight deadlines or when addressing unexpected issues such as delays or quality concerns. A solid understanding of shipping terms, Incoterms, international logistics, and customs clearance processes is critical to the role. Analytical skills are also essential for identifying process inefficiencies and proposing improvements, along with strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in purchase orders, supplier communication, and reporting.
Additionally, knowledge of supply chain compliance, sustainability, and quality standards is highly beneficial.
