Billing Services Co-Op Co Op Oglethorpe Power Headquarters Tucker, GA

• Pay will be based on completed credit hours.

The Billing Services Co-op supports Oglethorpe Power's monthly wholesale power billing operations while gaining hands‑on experience in utility billing, business and systems analysis, application development, and project management. Working with Billing Services staff, the co-op will help modernize legacy billing applications, develop and test billing intelligence tools, validate billing data, document processes, and support projects that help ensure accurate and timely bills for OPC's Electric Membership Corporations.

Assist with monthly wholesale power billing activities, including collecting, reviewing, reconciling, and validating data used to calculate EMC bills.

Support the modernization, development, testing, and documentation of billing applications, billing intelligence tools, databases, dashboards, and related solutions.

Assist with assigned departmental projects using SQL, Java, Sencha, systems analysis, and project management skills.

Learn the agreements, documents, data flows, generating assets, and business processes that support billing calculations.

Prepare and maintain process documentation, test results, data analyses, status updates, and other materials.

Collaborate with Billing Services staff, Family of Companies personnel, IT resources, and other data providers to research issues and support process improvements.

Rotate among department team members to gain broad exposure to billing functions and support cross‑training.

Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned, including occasional overtime during monthly billing cycles when required.

Currently enrolled and in good academic standing at an accredited four‑year college or university, preferably pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Candidates should have completed foundational coursework related to data analysis, software applications, business processes, or project management and be eligible to participate in their institution's cooperative education program.

Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications.

Interest in learning SQL, Java, Sencha, databases, dashboards, and related tools.

Basic project management and documentation skills, or the ability to develop these skills through training and experience.
