TRC Talent Solutions is partnering with a growing organization seeking a Benefits Analyst to support retirement and health & welfare programs. This role sits at the intersection of HR, finance, and compliance—ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, regulations, and process improvement in a high-impact environment.

Summary

The Benefits Analyst will support administration, compliance, and reporting for employer-sponsored retirement and health & welfare plans. This individual will play a key role in ensuring regulatory adherence, accurate payroll integration, and data-driven decision-making across benefit programs.

Key Responsibilities Retirement
  • Ensure compliance with retirement and deferred compensation plans (401(k), 409A, 457(b)) including contribution limits, compensation caps, and regulatory updates (Secure 2.0)
  • Partner with Payroll to review pay-period registers and validate retirement plan calculations
  • Stay current on IRS limits (deferrals, catch-up contributions, HCE thresholds)
  • Support testing for plan changes, system upgrades, and process improvements
Health & Welfare
  • Support compliance with ACA, ERISA, COBRA, and HIPAA regulations
  • Assist in benchmarking analysis through survey data and market comparisons
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and materials for leadership review Data Management & Reporting
    • Support internal and external audits with accurate documentation and reporting
    • Prepare recurring reports on enrollment, participation, and compliance metrics
    • Ensure high accuracy in payroll and benefits-related data processing
    • Maintain data integrity across HRIS and benefits platforms
    Requirements
    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Statistics, or related field
    • 2–5+ years of experience in benefits administration, retirement plans, or related HR/finance function
    • Hands‑on experience with 401(k) and/or deferred compensation plan administration
    • Strong understanding of ERISA, IRS, and DOL regulations
    • Advanced Excel skills and experience with HRIS/benefits systems
    • High attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive information
