Job Summary
The Sr. Data & Integration Architect, HCM leads the design and delivery of complex integrations and advanced analytics solutions within the Workday platform. This role bridges functional requirements and technical execution, ensuring high performance, data integrity, and long‑term scalability. The architect plays a critical role in defining the Workday technical roadmap and driving adoption of new Workday capabilities.
Reports ToHead, Talent and Payroll Transformation
Responsibilities- Leads end‑to‑end technical architecture for complex Workday integrations across HCM, Payroll, and Financials.
- Develops and oversees high‑priority integrations using Workday Studio, Cloud Connect, EIBs, and Document Transformation.
- Designs scalable reporting and analytics frameworks.
- Manages inbound and outbound data flows using REST and SOAP APIs.
- Architects advanced reporting solutions using Prism Analytics, Discovery Boards, and Matrix Reporting.
- Designs and builds custom Business‑Form layouts using BIRT for high‑impact outputs such as offer letters, invoices, and payslips.
- Implements optimizations to efficiently process large data volumes.
- Partners with leadership to define the Workday technical roadmap.
- Oversees data orchestration with third‑party middleware platforms.
- Conducts audits of integration performance and report run‑times.
- Co‑leads evaluation and adoption of new capabilities from Workday bi‑annual releases.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 5–10 years of related experience.
- 18 years of age or older.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 7+ years of IT experience, with at least 3–5 years specifically dedicated to Workday Technical Architecture.
- Expert‑level proficiency in Workday Studio including API Orchestration, transformation, sequencing, and error handling.
- Advanced knowledge of Calculated Fields, Composite Reports, and BIRT.
- Strong understanding of XML, XSLT, GJR, and JSON.
- Design and maintain Prism datasets (tables, relationships, derived fields).
- Strong project management skills.
- Expert in developing Workday Rest and SOAP Web Services.
- High level of understanding and experience using Workday connectors (e.g., Payroll PECI & PICOF Integrations).
- Workday Integration and/or Reporting certifications are highly preferred.
- Background in SQL or other data warehousing technologies such as Snowflake and Workday Prism.
- Experience with Workday Extend for building custom applications.
