Overview
Under general supervision, provides management information system user support by phone or site visit. Troubleshoots end‑user problems, analyzes and designs software modifications to meet user needs, and may develop and conduct training programs.
Essential Functions- Provides customer support in the maintenance of systems.
- Provides ongoing operational and user assistance to address application problems, provides on‑call application support, and assists users with application operations.
- Provides technical support in the operation and use of application software systems.
- Communicates with all levels of management and user department personnel to discuss job execution status, requests for reprints, equipment status and related problems.
- Develops materials and methods to be used in training others in the use of various hardware and software.
- Installs and/or upgrades software on PCs as instructed.

Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED and six months of education or experience in information security, privacy, system/network administration and support, or application development, and training and experience necessary to independently provide technical support to computer users in an assigned office/geographic area.

Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones.
Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear, frequently stand, walk, use hands, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
WorkingConditions
Incumbents working in this job perform duties in an office setting. This is a 40‑hour workweek requirement. The position may involve managing a high‑volume workload and demands a high level of accuracy while working with deadlines. Regular attendance is an important part of being successful in this position. Reasonable accommodations can be made available to qualified individuals upon request.
Position Type and Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full‑time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position occasionally requires long hours and weekend work.
TravelTravel is primarily local during the business day, although some out‑of‑area and overnight travel may be expected.
Work Authorization/Security ClearanceAs a condition of employment with Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency, you must successfully complete a mandatory federal and national background check, pre‑employment testing, and additional checks required for your job.
Parking InformationThe first day the temp will have to pay for parking which is $3/day. They will also have to purchase a badge and a parking decal.
