Position Summary
Labcorp is inviting a field IT technician to support our client network across the Atlanta and North Georgia region. The position is full‑time, exempt, and located in Tucker, GA with optional work‑from‑home days. Over the course of the year, the field technician will travel approximately 10% of the time to client sites including diagnostic offices, hospital labs, patient service centers, and internal operations areas.

First Shift, Monday‑Friday 8:00a.m.–5:00p.m. (standard business hours). Business needs may occasionally require flexibility with reasonable notice.
Responsibilities- Perform installations, repairs, and software training for HP Win
11 Enterprise laptops, monitors, printers, barcode scanners, and label printers. - Schedule and execute client service calls and onsite software trainings.
- Install and troubleshoot pre‑configured Cisco networking devices (Meraki VPN, WAPs, patch panels) and internal networking equipment such as routers, switches, and modems.
- Maintain local IT hardware inventory, reorder parts, and process RMA requests.
- Configure and repair internet sources (ATT Nighthawks, Verizon Dragons, Cisco MG41/51, broadband modems).
- Configure and troubleshoot proprietary software; deliver on‑site or virtual training via Webex.
- Provision user accounts on Active Directory and administer Office 365 applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Webex).
- Submit Service Now help‑desk tickets and track the status of client requests.
- Assist with corporate and local IT projects and travel as needed outside the primary territory.
- Attend to field technician duties that support clients and internal staff, including training and problem‑solving.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
- Minimum 1year of experience in an IT support role.
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 70pounds and to work from ladders.
- Associate’s degree in Information Technology.
- Experience working in a network environment.
- Experience as a field technician.
- Demonstrated multitasking ability and positive attitude.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a rapid, changing environment.
- Results‑oriented, willing to travel beyond the assigned area.
- Project‑management experience is desirable.
- Ability to perform other duties as required, including client‑facing responsibilities.
