About the Role:

The 2nd Shift Operator I (Packaging Machine Operator) plays a critical role in the manufacturing process within the non-durable goods sector by operating and monitoring mixing equipment during the second shift. This position ensures that raw materials are accurately combined according to established formulas to produce high-quality products that meet company standards. The operator is responsible for maintaining equipment functionality, troubleshooting minor issues, and adhering to safety and quality protocols to minimize downtime and waste.

Collaboration with team members and supervisors is essential to maintain smooth production flow and meet daily output targets. Ultimately, this role contributes directly to the efficiency and reliability of the manufacturing process, supporting overall business objectives.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to operate industrial mixing equipment.
• Ability to work the 2nd shift schedule reliably.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably with mixing or blending equipment.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and quality control procedures in a manufacturing setting.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and production tracking.
• Certification in forklift operation or other relevant manufacturing equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor mixing machinery to ensure proper blending of raw materials according to production specifications.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and maintenance to prevent malfunctions and ensure operational efficiency.
