The Quality Engineer is responsible for assisting and supporting the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the plant’s Quality Management System to support overall business goals. This role ensures compliance with automotive industry standards and serves as the primary liaison for quality matters with assigned customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Support the plant’s quality initiatives in alignment with company objectives
- Maintain, and improve IATF 16949–compliant Quality Management System procedures
- Serve as the company’s quality representative in interactions with assigned customers and suppliers
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to support and maintain appropriate quality methods and controls
- Lead structured problem-solving activities and oversee the corrective action process (e.g., 8D)
- Define, monitor, and report on customer satisfaction metrics
- Assist with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities, including process definition, control plans, PFMEAs, and work instructions
- Support plantwide Continuous Improvement initiatives through training, documentation, and quality assurance practices
- Perform additional duties as assigned

- High school diploma or equivalent required;
Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related discipline desired. - 5+ years of experience in a quality function within an automotive Tier 1 or Tier 2 environment.
- Direct experience with TS/IATF 16949/IATF 16949 required.
- Working knowledge of 8D, Six Sigma, Red X, MMOG, and other automotive quality tools.
- Demonstrated experience interfacing with customers and suppliers to resolve quality issues.
