Five Star Food Service is seeking a motivated and technically skilled

Field IT Operations Technician to support the installation, maintenance, and ongoing operation of Micro Market technology throughout the Savannah service area. In this hands-on role, you will troubleshoot hardware, network, connectivity, surveillance, and inventory management systems that help keep customer locations operating efficiently. Working closely with customers, vendors, operations teams, and Corporate IT, you will ensure technology solutions remain reliable while delivering exceptional customer service.

This position is ideal for a self-starter who enjoys problem-solving, managing multiple priorities, and working independently in a fast-paced environment.

• Install, support, and maintain Micro Market technology and equipment.

• Troubleshoot network, hardware, connectivity, and handheld device issues.

• Monitor system performance and complete service calls and repairs.

• Install and maintain routers, switches, cabling, cameras, and DVR systems.

• Conduct site surveys and assist with new market installations.

• Collaborate with customers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve technical concerns.

• Manage equipment inventory, warranty claims, and asset tracking.

• Travel within the service area to support installations, upgrades, and projects.

• Strong networking and connectivity troubleshooting skills.

• Experience diagnosing and repairing PC hardware and peripherals.

• Knowledge of Cat5, Cat6, and BNC cabling.

• Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

• CompTIA A+, Network+, MCP, or similar technical certifications preferred.

• Ability to lift 35+ pounds and perform installation-related physical tasks.
