DFCS/Office of Family Independence (OFI) is seeking candidates for the positions of Eligibility Services Administrator. This positions report to an OFI Deputy or District Manager and will be located in Gwinnett County, Georgia.

• Provides direct supervision and support to assigned supervisors.
• Analyzes and assesses the effectiveness of services provided to customers in addition to assigned programmatic responsibilities to ensure the identified outcome measures are achieved.
• Ensures agency compliance with policies, appropriate documentation and reporting requirements.
• Develops and encourages a cooperative team-oriented environment within units(s) and with other agencies and providers.
• Interviews, hires, directs, trains and evaluates employees’ performance; recommends employee disciplinary and discharge actions as appropriate.
• Leads and administers a comprehensive system of customer support and public assistance.
• Performs other professional responsibilities as assigned.

• High school diploma/GED AND (5) years of related experience.
• OR Associate degree from an accredited college or university AND four (4) years of related experience.
• OR One (1) year of at the lower-level Eligibility Specialist Spv (SST
  073) or position equivalent.

• One (1) year of experience at lower level, position equivalent of Eligibility Specialist Supervisor or Customer Contact Center Supervisor.

• Preference will be given to candidates who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, demonstrate some or all the following education/skills/experience:
• Two (2) years OFI supervisory experience administering Food Stamps and Medicaid programs.
• Knowledge of policies and procedures in OFI program areas.
• Ability to provide training and consultation on relevant policies and procedures.
• Experience with analyzing programmatic data using standard reports and spreadsheets.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
