Accounting Clerk

Job Description:

Caine & Weiner is seeking a In-Office, detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable/Payable Clerk to join our growing accounting team at BARR Credit Services in Tucson, AZ. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with accounting software and a strong understanding of accrual-based accounting principles. This position will be responsible for managing accounts payable/receivable (AP/AR) functions, preparing, and posting journal entries, and assisting with month-end close processes and other projects as needed and assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage the accounts payable process, including the accurate coding and timely payment of invoices.

* Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and ensure compliance with accounting policies.

* Assist with accrual-based accounting tasks, ensuring all expenses and revenues are appropriately recognized.

* Perform various reconciliations, including bank and vendor reconciliations.

* Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis, including working with VLOOKUPS and Pivot Tables to streamline reporting and analysis.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Technologically adept with the ability to learn new software and systems quickly.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Solid AP experience

* Experience with month-end close and general ledger functions.

* Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience with VLOOKUPS, Pivot Tables, and other advanced functions.

* Solid understanding of accrual-based accounting principles.
